The Commerce Bank Arts Centre is one of the nation's most unique and up-and-coming entertainment venues.

Completed in 1998, the 2,500-seat Center was originally designed as the school district's high school auditorium, built to hold the school's 2,000+ student body. During the planning stages of the Center, officials decided that this auditorium should be outfitted to host large scale productions in an effort to bring local, regional and world-renowned entertainment to the community.

The Commerce Bank Arts Centre opened its doors to the arts and entertainment world on September 1, 1998 to Rodgers and Hammerstein "The King & I". Since that day, the center's stage has been graced with international talent featuring Trisha Yearwood, Barry Manilow, The Moody Blues, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Willie Nelson, "West Side Story",

The Commerce Bank Arts Centre's primary purpose is to serve its student population as a state-of-the-art facility that can accommodate a myriad of student activities - from orchestral recitals to drama department musicals to National Honor Society Induction Ceremonies. The Center's professional sound, lighting and rigging equipment offer students hands-on experience in the production and technical aspects of theater.

The 19,344 square-foot Center boasts superb acoustics, totally unobstructed sight lines, roomy cushioned seats and a rare commodity alien to other like venues - legroom. In addition, the Center's ample parking lots provide our patrons with over 1,700 safe, well-lit parking spaces. The facility is entirely handicapped accessible and fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

"…the 2,500 seat auditorium has become quite the hot ticket."
Charlie Gagliardi, South Jersey Review

The Centre's prime location makes it easily accessible for our patrons from Philadelphia, Delaware and New Jersey shore points, while still only a short ride from Central and Northern New Jersey, New York City and Pennsylvania's Delaware Valley. More than 150,000 music and theatre aficionados have walked through our doors in the past year !

Washington Township and its surrounding communities offer an abundance of local amenities and community services. The area is rich with shopping, dining and lodging.

"The sound at the Washington Center seems positively…musical!"
